I was named after my great-grandma. But my dad thought Grace alone was too old lady-ish, so they paired it with mary, but my mom wanted people to call me both names, so they made it one name and gave me a middle name too. So...Marigrace Lynne. Yay.

I was named after a character on Days of Our Lives. Marelena's twin, Kayla. She was a psycho nurse.

My grandfather (Joaquin Gomez) told my mom either my first name or my middle name would be Joaquin. He was not a man to argue with. My brother's name is AJ, from that old TV show Simon and Simon. My mom loved that name, but the hospital wouldn't let him just have initials, so they made up Andrew James just to fill in the blanks.

My parents thought i was a dude and so they decided to name their "son" after Sheriff Andy Taylor from the Andy Griffith show...i came out as a girl...and im still named Taylor. I dig it.
